Muscle loss, a phenomenon not to be ignored
From the age of 70, muscles begin to lose weight more quickly than before. This phenomenon has a name: sarcopenia. The result? Everyday activities—getting up from the sofa, climbing stairs—can become more difficult. This isn’t inevitable, but rather a warning sign. The body needs sufficient protein and appropriate physical activity, such as Nordic walking or gentle strengthening exercises. Two to three sessions per week are enough to make a real difference.
